Facial Acupuncture is based on the principles of Chinese Medicine, which involves the insertion of very thin disposable needles into the acupuncture points on the face. This superficial insertion increases local circulation and stimulates collagen production, which will fill out lines and give firmness to the skin for a healthy, glowing complexion without downtime, sans Botox or filler!
How and Why Does Acupuncture Facial Works?
The cosmetic extension of acupuncture follows the same principle of TCM in treating the underlying causes that affect skin health. Depending on the patient, this may include indigestion, poor circulation, low cell energy, high stress, insomnia, or general inflammation. Furthermore, the physical insertion of the thin needles causes micro injuries to the skin which prompts cell repair and collagen production.
Why Combine Cosmetic Acupuncture with LED Therapy?
At GG Skin Deep, we combine cosmetic acupuncture (CA) with other modalities such as LED therapy, ultrasound therapy and micro-current (just to name a few) to give you a completely custom CA facial. The combination allows us to treat the skin in a more holistic and effective way. LED therapy has been proven to help increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, kill acne bacteria, decrease inflammation, improve skin tone, texture and clarity. The benefits of each modality amplifies the overall result for our clients.
LED Therapy Fact
LED Therapy was originally developed by NASA to help astronauts regenerate cells since natural cell healing cannot occur in space due to the lack of sunlight, oxygen and gravity.
Expectations and Number of Sessions
Post session, you will feel rejuvenated, lifted and an immediate glow which will deepen in the days after since the GG facial acupuncture is meant to kick start cell regeneration and collagen production. We suggest bi-weekly or monthly treatments for long term results.
