Clear quartz can be found on every continent and tied into the lore of many ancient cultures from around the globe.  The Greek word for “ice”, ancient philosophers believed that the transparent stone was a form of permanent ice and in Japan, the clear quartz meaning referred to a “perfect jewel” because they believed it symbolized space, purity and patience. While indigenous North American cultures saw it as a sentient being, and would gift it food as well as other offerings.  Scotland and Ireland locals even believed clear quartz had the metaphysical power to heal ailments in their cattle and the list goes on!
